Midsummer's Night

Hello everyone,
I hope you all enjoyed the lovely sunny weekend! I absolutely love the new Lili of the Valley fairies and I have a card to share with you today featuring Midsummer's Night. The sentiment tags are also from LOTV and the papers are Maja Design. The flowers are a mixture of Ribbon Girl, WOC and the LOTV shop, the charm is from Live and Love Crafts (with added paint), the wooden stars are from Samuel Taylors, and I've filled one of my tiny glass bottles with some star sequins. Finally, the following embellishments are from the Ribbon Girl: lace, pin, organza ribbon (underneath the lace), natural and white twine, and the paint dabber which I use on my flowers and charms is from there too.

I'm entering my card into the following challenges:
LOTV - Fairies
Ribbon Girl - Lilac/Purples
Papertake Weekly - Oh so cute

Thank you for all the lovely comments you leave - they really mean a lot to me!

Rebecca.

    1. Hi Lucy, I couldn't remember which lace it was so I had a look on the Ribbon Girl website and it's sold out! It's called 'Gertrude' and you can email for updates when it's in stock if you want to. Enjoy your crafty shopping this week - looking forward to seeing what you make with your new stash!

    2. Aww thanks Rebecca! Yea I thought this one was sold out! Lots of the pretty ones are! Drat! Lol just means another order when they're back in stock :-P

Hope your week is off to a great start and you've been getting crafty :-)

Is your blog dashboard working? Mine is only showing 1 post it's been like that for 2 days now so I can't see who's posting! Very annoying it's the same on my iPad so don't know if it's just me or not??

    3. I'm having the same problem with the dashboard, it's so frustrating! Other people are having the same issue though and apparently Google are working on it so hopefully it will be resolved soon!

  29. Oh phew not just me then! Fingers crossed it's sorted soon!
Also I see you use kraft card a lot as do many people and I really like it! Where do you buy yours from and how thick is it? I've just bought some crafters companion kraft card stock and it's 280gsm and seems quite thick for layering up?

    1. That's the one that I use too, I'm addicted to the stuff! It is very thick so I had to start making boxes instead of using envelopes (because of the extra embellishments I've recently started using too). Also, I've been adding a layered panel inside to balance it out so that the card doesn't fall over when it stands up!

    2. Oh cool, yea I've had to layer card inside of a few front heavy cards! Card boxes are next on my wish list, where do you buy yours from? I've just b

    3. Oops... I've just bought lots of large flowers from WOC which are gorgeous but too big for envelopes! So need to get some card boxes soon really lol

    4. I did the same thing with the flowers last week - that sale is too hard to resist, isn't it?? Definitely worth it though when the box arrives in the post with all those goodies inside! I make my own boxes using this tutorial:

but if you prefer to buy some I was given some suggestions here:

    5. Yea I didn't even realise there was a sale until I went to place my order as I had planned to anyways so what a bonus!! My eyes lit up when I received them! Love getting new gorgeous goodies! Been overspending madly recently haha it's my mums fault she keep persuading me to spend as I don't have anything else I can enjoy so should just buy all the lovely card making goodies I want haha, she keeps reminding me how much I would usually spend on clothes, petrol, parking, take always n chocolate etc (I've not been able to eat normal food for over 2 years!!) so then I don't feel so guilty buying new goodies :-P

Oh thanks for the link I'll check that out in a bit after my nap!
P.s lovely to see a piccy of you! I keep trying to upload one but I think I need to do it on a PC and I don't have access to one obviously plus I can't cope with large screens I rarely even look on my iPad as my light sensitivity is so bad even on the darkest setting!

Thanks for all your help! Have a fab week!

    6. I completely agree, you should definitely treat yourself! It must be so difficult missing out on those things so you deserve to really enjoy the things you can do and keep the crafty stash overflowing with lovely goodies! I'm sorry to hear that your light sensitivity is so bad. I have difficulty with that too but it comes and goes so isn't as bad as yours - you have my sympathy! Oh and no problem, I'm always happy to help :) Hope you have a great week too! x
