Liliana (and some stitching!)

Hello everyone,
Thanks for your advice about crafting lamps, I'll look into it.
I've been meaning to try some stitching for a while now and the latest Live and Love Crafts challenge was just the incentive I needed to finally have a go! I added some hand-stitching to the die-cut frame using some neutral thread for my first attempt. I found it really therapeutic so I'll be buying some thicker thread in different colours so I can do some more on future cards! I've used the Saturated Canary image Liliana (coloured with Inktense pencils) and Maja Design papers. I've added a little bit of Pumice Stone Distress Ink to the Kraft layers, white flowers and sentiment. I have also used:
Sentiment - Lili of the Valley
Butterflies - Pion Design cut-out sheet
Lace, charm, diamond dust (added to the flowers and butterflies) - Live and Love Crafts
Cheesecloth, twine - Ribbon Girl
Flowers - Wild Orchid Crafts
Gems, pearl string - Samuel Taylors
Bottle and beads - from my stash

I'm entering my card into the following challenges:
Live and Love Crafts - Stitching
Papertake Weekly - Spots & Dots

This is actually my 100th post so I'd like to say an extra big thank you for all of your visits and lovely comments which give me so much encouragement to keep creating and blogging!

Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

  1. Rebecca this is just too gorgeous for words. Your hand stitching is just so perfect around the oval shape. Hard to believe its by hand. Stunning.

  2. Stunning, she is a beauty and I love the natural colours. Your stitching looks great and your embellies are perfect. I use natural light mainly for photos. I couldn't manage without my daylight lamp for crafting though when the light starts to fade and I also use it for photos sometimes. It is a foldi lamp from The Daylight Company. Enjoy your Sunday x
