My First Gift Bag

Hello everyone,
I hope you're all well. I bought some gift bags a couple of months ago and have finally got round to decorating one! I really enjoyed making this for a change. I used Inktense pencils to colour Tilda with Winding Flowers and am so happy that I'm now enjoying the colouring stage of crafting! There's a lot of glitter on the flowers so it's a lot more sparkly than it looks in the photo. I have also used:
Papers - Lili of the Valley (Antebellum)
Frame - Spellbinders die
Borders - Magnolia DooHickey (Old Swedish Lace)
Flowers - Wild Orchid Crafts
Butterflies - from a Pion cut-out sheet
Lace - Live and Love Crafts
Charm and seam-binding - Ribbon Girl
Pearls and pearl string - Samuel Taylors

I'm entering my gift bag into the following challenges:
Midweek Magnolias - Decorate a Gift Bag or Box
In the Pink - Anything Goes
Divas by Design - So Charming
Moving Along With The Times - Vintage

Before I go, I was just wondering if anyone could recommend a crafting lamp to improve the quality of my photos? I don't use any at the moment so would love to hear your suggestions - thank you!

Thank you so much for visiting, I really appreciate it!

Rebecca.

  11. This is a gorgeous gift bag Rebecca, the Kraft and pink looks fabulous together and your papers and embellishments are so pretty.
I use an OttLite for crafting at night and find it is good for taking photographs if the daylight is not good enough.

  13. Gorgeous gorgeous! This bag would be part of the gift itself! I use a little portable studio that folds into a bag, it's very handy and came with 2 photo lights. I got it from Amazon where thee is a lot of choice but they are all much the same. I try to use natural light where possible though. Hugs Carole Z X

  26. I have some gift bags like this waiting to be decorated and I'll be very happy if they end up this pretty!
Your colouring is lovely and I'm glad you're enjoying it too!

I have a daylight lamp but don't use it for photos if I can help it as the colours are still a bit off. It's this one though if you want to take a look https://uk.daylightcompany.com/product/pl-reading-lamp-white/ It's amazing for crafting when it's dark outside but I still don't love it for photos although it is better than not having it at all if you absolutely have to take a photo at night!

I play around loads with my photos in GIMP (free software) to make them look tons better - I can get rid of any wonkiness, sharpen them up and get the colours much truer to life.

Thanks for sharing your gorgeous bag with us at In The Pink :-)
    Hugs, Kat x

  27. I love decorating bags Rebecca .... but then don't want to give them away!
I have an Ottlite which is good for crafting, it gives a nice light but weigh up all the costs first as a replacement bulb is about £18!
